You obviously have no idea of how much mental power it takes to play the game of poker well. Ratings for these poker shows are huge, so a large number of people like to watch them, so you are in the minority my friend. Did you know that over 150 million Americans play poker at least once a week. You shouldn't judge something that you don't know anything about. Also most of the top pros in hold em are pretty fit, and i don't think it is any coincidence. If you don't like it then you should go watch something else that you like. This poker boom is good for all poker players, it means more money and more fish out there for better players. 10 Years ago if there was a million dollar prize pool it would have made the news, but now you have so many big events it's not even funny. Poker is here to stay, so get used to it.
