Online poker plays alot faster. The shuffle is instantaneous. The players have the ability to act in advance and not change the other players actions. The money does not seem like money because you can not spend it on groceries or such. There is a social aspect to playing live. You can see the player face to face when they are bluffing.

you strategy depends on how you playif you play a non paying version like on yahoo games or aol games, you should play very aggressive. its not your money, so what the heyif you get a bad hand, its not your beer money that you lostif you are paying, you should bluff very rarelybluffing online gets you no where.bluff only if people around you, who are usually very aggressive, start folding

For me I do better face to face, because I can read people somewhat (by no means an expert). Intimidation also becomes more of a factor face to face, good or bad depending on which side of the coin you are on. That and you can screw with each other face to face.

Default poker stars policy

if we talk about playing poker online, on stars and the game live , difference between the two is that the online game is controlled and is one game away from reality.
Those times when we let them win as part of site strategy as part of the site and then no longer play poker, then play site for you because the result will be always as the program wants
If you wonder what they would do something like this site, the answer is simple.
They want to keep more money in the game to rake. If good players should be allowed to withdraw money would win consistently in this way, less money would stay in the game ....
Conclusion .......success in live games.

Live is more about feel, online is too but not seeing your opponents, u have to read people on rep., betting patterns and so on.
Online has cheaper stakes and tournaments resulting in people making lots of money off of $10-50. Live is more expensive and requires a bigger bankroll
