the"stop and go"play is when you flat-call a raise before the flop from one of the blind positions with a short stack, and then no matter what flop hits, you move all-in...you use this play in order to increase your chances of survival in a tournament, since if you move in pre-flop you will get called for sure, but if your opponent whiffs the flop then they will fold and you won't be faced with elimination

Sabes99 give you the answer. You're going to go all-in on the flop no matter what come. A good stop and go is when you're the first to act an the flop, you use the strength of your all-in move. If your opponent haven't catch anything, you can take the pot right here. If he catch something, well hopefully you got outs and it's the same if you had push all-in pre-flop, so no regret. And if both of you catch something on the flop, lets say he has QJ and you KQ and a Q came on the flop, you're an your way to double up. If you had push all-in pre-flop, the chance are he would have fold.Take care
