Fixed Limit Holdem you can only bet or raise a set amount at any given time.No Limit Holdem you can bet any amount you want whenever you want.

fixed limit has a limit on the amount you can bet while no limit has unlimited.example:the deal on fl is $200, that means you cant bet higher than $200 but in no limit, you can bet even up to $1000, or $5000, depends on you.hope this helps
