if you want tips specifically about Texas Hold'em i suggest :http://www.pokerstrategy.com/uH4QRZthere u will get the articles you need about the diferent strategies you can play depending on how much money do you and your opponents have at a certain moment. You will also find info about rules, how to play tourneys (single and Multi Table) and if u want to take a small quiz they provide you with $50 to start on any of their affiliated poker rooms (Pokerstrategy,Fulltiltpoker,Partypoker, etc) and practice without any risks.Regards.

Pick up David Sklansky's"No Limit Hold'Em: Theory and Practice"or Dan Harrington's"Harrington on Cash Games."These seem to be the two best books on the subject at the moment. Also check out Poker - Online Poker Strategy - Two Plus Two which have an ongoing discussion on book of these books.
