Default How can I improve my Poker game!?

I'm new to live poker (but not a complete newbie, I play online most of the time) I've made it to the last table twice out of 3 small tournaments, each tourny with 60-70 players at game start. Any suggestions how I can improve my final table game?

There are lots of poker guides available on the internet. Read up on those.Learn about how to play your position (dealer, late position, mid, early). Basic theory is the earlier the position you're in, the more you should fold weak hands.Don't go all-in unless you're certain you'll win.Don't be afraid to fold hands.

Well you are on the right track, experience is the best teacher in Texas Hold em Poker. The more you play, the more you learn, the better you play.Keep in mind that at the final table your strategy depends more on your chip stack size and how you have sized up your opponents from previous rounds than anything else. If you have a big stack, then you can either bully or sit back and wait to pick off the short stacks. Final table play is much more aobut strategy and position than earlier round play. Here is a link to a Texas Hold em page full of tips, strategy and advice that may help: http://www.thedoverpro.com/poker.htmMaking the final table at 60-70 player live tournies is a pretty good sign your game is strong now. It may also help you to play in some HU tournies, if there are any, just for the experience of it, in preparation for HU in a big tourney when you get there. And a good poker book never hurts, you can always at least learn something from most of themGood luck!
