I flopped a set of 8s on an AK8 rainbow flop. The guy turned a set of 7s, we went all-in, and he rivered quads. The odds of this happening (on the flop) are 1/1081. Here:Poker hand played on PokerStars with a pot size of $10.09 - Pokerhand.org

The bad beat you speak of happened to me before too. I had set over set on the flop and the other guy turned quads. But right now I can't believe the one that happened to me yesterday. I flopped three of a kind fours (two in the hole) and my opponent flopped a pair of eights with a king kicker. We both got all in and the river and turn came king king. The odds of this are about one in 500!

We used to play every night on the Coast Guard Cutter I was on and one night flop comes Q-Q-J...I have a pair of J's down low...so I was debating on how to play it when the other guy pushes half his stack in...I was flabber gasted...so I said all-in...he called rather quickly and was sitting on a pair of Q's for quads...talk about having my feelings hurt....Chris from Big Stacked Poker Gearhttp://bigstackedpoker.flyingcart.com/

My story all started with a visit to Stonehenge in the United Kingdom. Stonehenge wasn't that spectacular but my digital camera did take pictures of the ground when I had it pointed directly at Stonehenge, kinda weird huh? But anyway, I bought a little metal Stonehenge trinket to use as a card protector. When I returned home I used the card protector in a No Limit Texas Hold'em tournament. I went pretty deep into the tournament and was first in chips. I got involved in a hand with my opponent who was second in chips. And then this happened...I had Pocket Kings raised and raised before the flop I was called by two players. The flop came out: King of Hearts, Jack of Clubs, and Trey of Hearts. I continued with a bet and my opponent made a huge check raise, I pushed all in and was called. I quickly removed the little Stonehenge card protector from my cards and revealed a set of Kings and my opponent revealed a set of Jacks. He walked off screaming and yelling,"Uh God! I am so unlucky, etc. etc."The turn came a Heart and the river a heart. He was holding the Jack of Hearts and won the hand. His buddies literally had to chase him down to get him back to the table.I was crippled and busted out shortly. On the way to my car, I threw the little Stonehenge off of a bridge into a river...
